Please pray for my very troubled marriage...
Michelle
Aug 29 2008

Hello all, I'm new here. My name is Michelle. Well, let me tell you my story as to why I'm here...
My husband Doug, decided about 3 weeks ago that he no longer wants to be married. He wrote it in an email from work and had to go away on a military job thing for the weekend. So, we're still in the same home together since then and he's firmly standing his ground of not wanting to be married to me anymore. We have only been marriend for a year and a half. Our communicatins were really off the entire time. We even tried councelling. Nothing seem to help. But, I will also take part of the blame as there were many things that I could have done differently and to help make things better between us and I just didn't bother. Many things! So, he came to the point where he suffered in silence wondering how can he get out of this marriage without breaking my heart? Obviously, there was no way around it. And this is why he chose to write it in a letter. That way he didn't have to deal with the emotional part of things. Okay so, since this letter, he's been staying out, or not coming home and now plans to go away for the weekend. Last Sunday, he left his email account open. I KNOW it was wrong and I've asked for forgiveness, but I was going out of my mind with what he was really up to. Sad to say, I found a love letter from a woman he met over the internet. And just so happen, he's going to that particular state she lives in this weekend. I confronted him about my findings and he denies that he ever really tried to persue this person. That he is going to visit friends of his out there. That he's innocent. That he's sorry for having done that. He keeps giving me his word that while we are still married on paper and living in the same house, that he would be faithful. I asked him to give our marriage one last chance. You see, he plans on going on a temporary military assignment for 3 weeks in another state Next week. I told him to have his space all this time up until he returns from his assignment and come and re evaluate his feelings for our marriage before saying no. He said, that the chances are that as of now, he is 99% sure that he doesn't want to try anymore. But that he is not closed to the idea and we'll see. He said that he doesn't want to give me false hope and I should move on because, he already has. I'm very confuse and very hurt. I cry EVERY single day. I pray and talk to God for his help and mercy and hope that he will save my marriage. Everyday, when I awake and find that he is still away from me, my hope starts to wither. I don't want to give up hope so I pray, pray, and pray somemore. I miss him sooo much. I want my heart to stop hurting. I ask that you pray for him especially. He needs your help to find his way back into our marriage. I'm lost without my best friend...

I wanted to give my heartfelt thanks to all of you and your uplifting words and prayers. Truth be told, although my situation is still where it is, I feel stronger and closer to God. I had asked Him to take all my pain away and give me the strength and courage to live my life while keeping hope for my marriage and praying for my husband's salvation everyday. He granted my request. I refuse to give up my hope and faith. I truly believe that the Lord answers each and every one of my prayers. I have let go and let God... Thank you again all and I am saying prayers for each and everyone of you...

Michelle, don't feel quilty that the spirit of the lord lead you, by your prayers, to the truth that would satisfy your suspicions, and shed light into the dark places of your husband's world of secrecy. His body is not his own, but yours and God's, and your body is not your own, but God's and his. So he has no right to withhold love and affection from you, because he vowed to love you unconditionally, for better , or for worst. Stay in prayer for your husband's salvation, do not grow weary in well doing, no matter how bad it gets, good will eventually win out over bad. I pray your strength in our Lord and Saviour Michelle, and ask that He permits sufficient grace and mercy in your sitution, so that you can endure through it all for the expected end. In Jesus' name I pray. *AMEN*

Michelle, the comments from TET are spot on. There are many of us, standing for our marriages, who come to this site daily and pray for one another. I promise you, the Lord hears your prayers. I too, have a story of a troubled marriage. My wife, Lisa filed for divorce back in May. Since then, a series of positive events have happened as a result of the Lord hearing my prayers. I know he hears my prayers and is working in the heart of my Lisa. The tempory court hearing for Lisa and I was suppose to happen June 5th. My wife decided to postpone it for 30 days. All this time I was praying for my Lisa. Sure, I was praying for the restoration of my marriage but mainly I was praying for the salvation of my wife, as she had let the Lord slip from her daily life. Through the prayers of all these wonderful souls on this site, I realized I had to surrender everything to the Lord and LISTEN to what he was saying to me (easier said than done). The 30 day delay ended and our new court date for the tempory hearing was July 2nd. Lisa decided we needed a couple more months to get things inorder, divide our possesions, have me find a place to live, etc. So the lawyers negotiated the temporary orders but they would not go into effect until Sept. 1 so we are all still together as a family. I know in my heart, these delays are a result of the Lord working in my Lisa's heart. I could see the changes in her daily. She was more like her old self, smiling, laughing, doing things with me. Although things would sometimes happen that would seem like a setback, I knew I must TRUST the Lord and continue to surrender everything to Him. Well, Sept. 1 is in 3 days and on Wednesday of this week, Lisa called me and said doesn't want me moving out September 1, she wants me to stay through the end of the year. THE LORD HEARS MY PRAYERS! HE IS WORKING IN THE HEART OF MY LISA! The power of prayer is remarkable! The Lord hears your cries. Keep praying to the Lord for guidance. Pray that you will accept His will for you, regardless of what it is. Keep coming to this site for the uplifting prayers of everyone. In addition to praying for your own situation, pray for all the other standers on this site...TET, JM, Dana, Sheree, Jason and so on. Pray for all those who need the Lord in their lives. As you pray, you will be amazed at the changes you see in yourself. The lord always walks with you and will never leave you.

Lord, Please hear our prayers for Michelle and her husband. I pray that You will guide them, together, to a Christ filled marriage in service to You. Please provide comfort to Michelle's heart when she is feeling the pain of the enemy. In Your name we pray. AMEN.

Michelle, you have no need to feel guilty about going on your husbands space to confirm what you already suspected. Truth has to be brought about before the problem can be addressed. He wants you to feel guilty for finding out, so he will keep denying. As he continues to lie about his whereabouts, continue to confront him with the truth. Continue to pray for discernment. My heart aches for you as you endure, but you need peace in your life, and your husband can not have it both ways. Don't settle for second best with your husband. Make him choose (I know that's risky, but you have the right to know the truth)
Father God, I pray for Michelle. You hold her tears in your hands, you feel her heartache, I pray for her as she endures, I pray that her husband will not be able to have peace until he realizes what he is doing to his wife Michelle. Encourage her heart I pray in Jesus name ... amen

Hello Michelle! You have come to the right place as we have a lot of standers here praying for restoration of our marriages. You are not alone. With my case, my husband filed for a divorce. Yes, we're also still living together, but he sleeps in the other room and comes and goes anywhere he pleases. But the saddest thing with my situation we have two children ages 8 & 6 who are affected by this. That's why, I go here everyday for prayer in healing and restoration of every marriages.
So here's a prayer for you and Doug...
Dear Lord,
You know better than anyone else that this is a difficult time for Michelle and for many others who are experiencing challenging times in their marriages, so I pray that we will feel your love in a very special way. May we be rooted in your love today, Lord, May we experience and feel the wonder and power of your amazing grace and love. May this not be a day of sadness, but a day of rejoicing, because we know you love us Lord, and you have all things that concern us and our family in the control of your Almighty, loving hand. And Lord, please touch Doug's heart, who is not walking in the right relationship with you today. It is the greatest desire of Michelle's heart that Doug will come to know you as his Lord and Savior, so I thank you for sending the power of Your Holy Spirit to move in his life today in a most powerful and supernatural way and for bringing him to the saving knowledge of YOu, Lord Jesus. You came to set the captives free, but Michelle's husband now lives in bodage, so I come against all manner of sin, bondage, strongholds, deception, adultery, disobedience and disbelief in the name of Jesus Christ, from which I know Satan must flee. I cover Doug, with the blood of the Lamb today and it is the word of Michelle's testimony that he will be saved and delivered, and that he will walk in right relationship with You Lord. Please give Michelle the strength, wisdom and grace to live in such a way that Doug will see YOu in Michelle, Lord. I thank you that all of Michelle's interaction with Doug will glorify YOu and ask You to always remind her that every encounter she has with Doug will lead him toward YOu.
Be Thou glorified in this day tha you have made Lord; we will rejoice and be glad in it! And let your love shine in us today! Amen.
Hang in there!!!
