I am the same Joe that is looking for guidance. How can I forgive myself for doing something that I said I would never do. It hurts me more than I think I can expalin that I had an affair. How can I move on and be a better man and husband if I cannot forgive myself for what I have done. My wife knows and have forgave me but I have not forgave myself. Share with me where I should look for forgiveness for myself.

heavenly father I thank you for people like Joe.I also want to thank you for giving him a loving wife.Touch his heart and teach him your ways that he may know how to let go.Thank you Lord for touching Joe.

Heavenly Father, I pray for Joe and the guilt he is burdended with. He never thought for one second he would do what he did to his wife. I pray for you to bless him and touch his heart so that he will know you have completely forgiven him for this. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Joe, the first process is to earnestly ask God to forgive you and then forgive yourself. This can take ages I'm sure but you will eventually feel a release in yourself like a weight has been lifted. You can do it. Pray each day to God to lift this guilt from you and ask your wife to pray for you too. Remember if you pray together with your wife or whoever every day God will be there in the midst. God Bless Joe. x
