Listen to: The Joy of the Lord is your strength!
And its not what you give, but how you give it.I believe in my heart that it also is how God wants you to serve him, and honor him.
Malachi 11 An oracle: The word of the LORD to Israel through Malachi. [a]Jacob Loved, Esau Hated 2 "I have loved you," says the LORD. "But you ask, 'How have you loved us?' "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" the LORD says. "Yet I have loved Jacob, 3 but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals." 4 Edom may say, "Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins." But this is what the LORD Almighty says: "They may build, but I will demolish. They will be called the Wicked Land, a people always under the wrath of the LORD. 5 You will see it with your own eyes and say, 'Great is the LORD -even beyond the borders of Israel!'
My dear friends, everything you do, do it to honor God and let it be from your heart and not for show.AMEN
"For where your treasure is, there you will find your heart" so it is essential to pay tithes, to honour God as mentioned, remember if you can give of your money, then your treasures are truly heaven oriented. The rich young ruler didn't store his treasure in heaven, but his treasure was in earthly possessions, and he could not deoart with them, thus passing up the opportunity for eternal life. How hard is it Indeed! for those who put their trust in money, get into the kingdom of God. Forgive me O lord, for the times that I'm wanted and lusted after reasons and excuse not to pay tithes to you. "All things come of thee, O Lord, and not of our own, as we give of thee" *AMEN*
AMEN AMEN
