Request to stand in prayer with me...
Michelle and Doug
Sep 21 2008

Fellow Standers, I thank you all in advance for praying with me. I pray for all your salvation and happiness. Bless you all. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Whatever You want, Lord. Show me and I'll do it. I’m willing to die to myself and say, Change me, Lord.

Lord, I confess I do not esteem my husband the way Your Word says to. There is a wall in my heart that I know was erected as a protection against being hurt. But I am ready to let it come down so that my heart can heal. I confess the times I have shown a lack of respect for him. I confess my disrespectful attitude and words as sin against You. Show me how to dismantle this barrier over my emotions that keeps me from having the unconditional love You want me to have. Tear down the wall of hardness around my heart and show me how to respect my husband the way You want me to. Give me Your heart for him, Lord, and help me to see him the way You see him.

God, please pour out Your blessings on Doug and fill us both with Your love.

Lord, I pray for an end to this conflict and a breaking of the hold strife has on us. Take away the hurt and the armor we've put up to protect ourselves. Lift us out of the pit of unforgiveness. Speak through us so that our words reflect Your love, peace, and reconciliation. Tear down this wall between us and teach us how to walk through it. Enable us to rise up from this paralysis and move into the healing and wholeness You have for us.

Show me where there is sin in my heart, especially with regard to my husband. I confess the times I've been unloving, critical, angry, resentful, disrespectful, or unforgiving toward him. Help me to put aside any hurt, anger, or disappointment I feel and forgive him the way You do, totally and completely, no looking back. Make me a tool of reconciliation, peace, and healing in this marriage. Enable us to communicate well and rescue us from the threshold of separation where the realities of divorce begin.

"Take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacheroulsy with the wife of his youth. For the LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce, "for it covers one's garment with violence," says the LORD of hosts. Therefore take jeed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. Malachi 2:15,16.

Father God, I pray for Michelle and Doug to submit totally to your will in their lives. Father I gather that Doug is not in the place to where he even cares about the spiritual part of his life, however I pray that in his memory he will remember the "first love" he had for Michelle. I pray for healing in this marriage ... amen

I pray that you will continue to pray and ask for forgiveness and blessings from above. I ask that God would help continue to restore this marriage for any marriage is worth restoration. PLease continue to remind us all of our sins and imperfections so we might lean from them and not fall into old habits. Watch over Michelle and Doug in the following days and help mend their hearts so they might feel unconditional love for each other. Amen

Thank you

That was awesome but I think it is too late for my marriage. He hates me so much. And most of the problems in the marriage were due to me. I didn't respect him as a man and I treated him wrong. I nagged and very resentful towards him. I was awful. I have allowed God to start transforming me but it is a little too late and I feel so bad. I have ruin my life and I have ruin his and my daughter's as well. She is now going to grow up in a single parent home. I cry out to God but it is way too late.

I will stand with you for your marriage. I have made it my quest so to speak to not see another marriage end up in divorce because it is sheer hell on earth.
