Please pray for my husband, my children and I.
We are good people that pray from the morning to the night over all things. We do not drink, smoke, no ill words, we try to do all the things God wants of us
My husband left the country due to no work here in the US and he is working over seas because this is where all the US companies are going, Qatar, UAE. He is now working there for a co-owned company with GE. He says that there is 80% american now staying and working over there. He still pays the US taxes cause there are no taxes over seas. Now the Government wants to take his rights aways from him to the US and he may not be able to ever return. We have a Lawyer, but it seems that she has made thing worse for him, not better.
We have had very hard times for 8 years and just when things was looking brighter for us...this happens. This will be the end of all ends for us lossing everything we have. We just went over one hill in bad times and now this. How much more stress does God want to give us. Please pray for us that the Government does not do this to him / to us. Thank you

The Success of Obedience Prayer.
Michael.
Jun 08 2008

I must learn what Jesus learned: to be "obedient unto death" (Philippians 2:8, KJV). All true obedience is unto death. That is a reversal of the world's standard. "I will obey if" is what the world says. The if means there must be a happy ending. Anyone will meet conditions, even drastic ones, if he gets his own way in the end. But that is not the obedience of Christ. His example was, "I will obey regardless." For Him, the "regardless" was not a heavenly deliverance but a cross.
The obedience is always uccessful. It always accomplishes God's will. It is immaterial to me whether my cancer is cured, my promotion achieved, or my loved one saved. If I have obeyed, that is enough. I am successful. Beyond that, it is God's business. If I insist on a happy, selfish outcome, then I am meddling. The instant I obey, success is automatic--God's success, not mine. Therefore, obedience carries in itself its burst of praise. I am jubilant, not because my ship has come in, but because it has gone out. Maybe I will never see it again, but that is beside the point. the point is, I have launched it unto God and now he is responsible. So I praise God because He is working and I rest in His activity. (NOT MAN'S=LAWYER'S).
I must be careful to obey for obedience's sake, and to love obedience for the Lord's sake. What a level to live on, loving it for His sake! In this I have the example of my Master, who said, "I delight to do your will, my God" (Psalm 40:8, TLB).

PS. This my dear petitioner, is not an admonition to stop praying for the desires of your heart, you're perfectly reasonable, but it is to admonish you to trust in the Lord no matter the circumstances.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways (what you're currently going through) acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Dear Lord, not just this one, but me also, for when various trials and tribulations comes, and the enemy comes in like a raging storm, then suddenly I too fall away. Forgive my unbelief, for I forget the kind of man that I was in Christ Jesus, once I stopped looking in the mirror. Bless and deliver our sister in Christ from all of her anxieties over her husband's legal matters. We call the on your powerful hands to deliver him safe from all harm and danger, and we faithfully believe that he shall return to the covenant agreement that he vowed to You and his wife and children. In Jesus' name I pray. *AMEN*
