Please pray for my wife and me now and in the near future. Now that she has been fired at her last church job for alcoholism/absenteeism, I feel the strong calling to go to the archdiocese and report the sex abuse she was a victim in, and turn in her priest/boss from 3 years ago who sexually abused her. She does not want this, but this is where God is moving me to go. Her latest priest/boss, a very decent and Godly priest, has told me I must go now. I have heard this advice before from good people, mental health professionals and good clergy, but now it seems to be time.

My wife does not want this. She is depressed, and I am praying that she not be suicidal or violent about it, as she has threatened in the past. Please pray for me to have the words and insight to do this properly, and to have the focus,health, & skills to do all of my jobs in all of this as a husband, father, and worker. Please pray for me to have discernment and really make the right decisions here, especially the big ones about going at all, and when and how to do this.

Frank, my heart goes out to you, in all the struggles you have had --- I know this has NOT been easy. Talking things out is the thing done in therapy, and the easiest way to get over a problem. My prayer is that God will lead you in the right direction, giving you discernment on what to say, what to do, and that HE will see that your wife understands there is a problem that needs to be dealt with, and that it was not her fault this thing happened. I feel these things need to be revealed to help others in such situations. May YOUR life be truly blessed for the faithfulness you have shown and the concern you have had for so long. May your relationship be healed, peace be felt with both of you, and a most meaningful life ahead for all of you. Thank you for standing by her. God rewards this!
