Prayer Request

Message Date
Friday & Weekend
Dana
Jul 11 2008

Lord, I pray forgiveness for my actions and words last night with my husband. I was upset and acting in the flesh, forgive me. Thank you for allowing us to be able to come to you always. I ask that You would please give all of us here on this site a blessed day & weekend. Help us to give up to You all our needs, thoughts, concerns. Lord You know what each and everyone of us here needs and I pray for your intervention. I pray for our loved ones who not yet know you, asking that You would please give them all hearts of flesh, sending harvesters to each and every one of them. I pray for those of us who are Your children that you give us an extra measure of joy, peace, comfort, and understanding of our circumstances. I pray that you give us all wisdom and keep our lips from speaking anything other than what you direct us to speak. Comfort where comfort is needed, patience where patience is needed, knowledge where knowledge is needed. Thank you Lord that you'll never leave us nor forsake us. Help us never to doubt for one second. IN Jesus Name Amen

I say Amen to this prayer request Lord, and I'll flip to the other side and add that some things that are said are not a personal attack on any one individual, but that unpleasant truths are to be spoken from time to time, so that we don't become blind to the sins that so easily beset us. Often time things are said on this site by others, that are reflective of me and my sins, and I welcome them, because I don't need flattery, but truth. I could relate the many teachings that Jesus ascribed to the Pharisees about this same blindsightedness. We can learn a lot from criticism, and 'rightful judgments' of ourselves. We don't judge for the sake of judging (thinking that we don't do likewise). but for correction, as the elders of the church tells certain members that they are out of God's will for certain conduct, or behavior that they're exhibiting in the church, and out of the church (eg. shacking, drinking, smoking, adultery, etc, etc,). this is just some food for thought, as we listen to response of different replies to our post, some of what's said has its place, and some don't! we're not perfect, and I'm praying that we all get better in communicating our thoughts and beliefs regarding prayer request. *AMEN*

Father I pray in agreement with this prayer. In Jesus name, Amen Dana, I read a the scripture this morning liste don this site and Matthew 15:1-39 where Jesus was speaking and said it is not what goes in our mouths that makes us unclean, but what comes out of the heart out of our mouths that makes us unclean. You are so right that we must watch our lips. Have a blessed weekend.
