Prayer Request

Message Date
Does God listen to me?
Mar
Jun 10 2008

I have prayed to God for things and for some reason he has not answered my prayers. Could it be that I'm not being patient? I'm growing sadder by days. Please pray for me. What should I do so He would listen to me? I need Him.

Lord, we pray for the spirit of conviction and confession to come upon mar, so that she can identify the sins that so easily besets her. The root of the prayers not being answered is most likely sin Mar, according to the word, for God withholds nothing from those who faithfully serves him and obey his commands. There could be a unnoticed sin that you've not considered. Go over the Ten Commandments, and the commandments of husbands and wives, the one that says that you are not your own, but your husbands, and vice-versa. Are uou being submissive to your husband, then this is breking God's commandments and is sin. You have to delight in God's ways, this means to do exactly as he commands. I know I'm guilty of this in my thought life, for i ask amiss a lot of times, for my own selfish reasons that doesn't line up with God's will, and often times this in accordance with relationships I lean to my own understand and make the word fit my definition and interpretation because I want what I want! I compromise the word of God to suit my warped way of thinking, when I'm off-road from the road that leads to righteousness. I know this to be true by the prayer request that's posted here daily, people don't even consider God's will, as one person stated "I just need prsayer, not judgment! But wait a minute, God tells us to speak truthfully to those who would come to Him in prayer, telling them what they must do to inherit the kingdom of God "Go sell everything that you have, pick up the cross and follow me" this is not just material things and wealth, its the thought life also, the things that you cling too that gets in the way of serving God wholeheartedly. You have to relinguish all! We don't know what you're clinging too, but God knows, just as you don't know what we cling too! But the problem is with us and not God, for all the promises in God are yes, and Amen!

You say you have asked for things, but have you come before the Father and laid down everything to him and given your iife over to him. Are you praying earnestly or just praying hoping to receive something. God is inside of you. Once you give your life over to him, you will know that. Father we pray for this person, that You touch them and they know the Great I Am. Please guide this person that they may know and receive You. In Jesus name, Amen
