Isaiah 11:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him--the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord

You have the Holy Spirit on the inside of you. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and reverential obedient fear of the Lord.

Wisdom will show you the right thing to do. Some people make a mess of their lives because they do not use wisdom in their actions. They go out and do foolish things. I know because I sure did. I did some stupid things. I was not walking according to wisdom. If you need wisdom, read the book of Proverbs. As you read Proverbs ask the Holy Spirit to help you with what you are reading. The Holy Spirit will begin to teach you wisdom.

Understanding is the ability to take a principal (wisdom) and apply it to a situation. Wisdom will instruct you to pray. Understanding will tell you when, how long, and what kind of prayer to pray. Wisdom will give you truth. Understanding will teach how to use that truth. Wisdom will tell you to read the word. Understanding will tell you the specifics for reading the word. Wisdom never changes. Understanding will change to suit the situation. For example, it is wisdom to pray. Understanding will have you pray an hour in the mornings during one time in your life and have you read 30 min 3 times a day during a different time in your life. Understanding knows how to apply wisdom that fit your needs right now.

Counsel will lead and guide you. Counsel will tell you "don't go that way," or "Go this way". Counsel will provide direction. I have heard of a wealthy man who was lead by the Spirit of God during the stock market crash to become a multimillionaire. This man would not make a financial decision until he had heard from God. He would go into his prayer closet and he would not make a move on any opportunities until he had heard from God. Tap into the Holy Spirit and receive counsel from God.

The Spirit of might is doing things that flesh can not do. For example, I can not heal your physical problems. I do not have that kind of power. However, the Holy Spirit does have that power. Not long ago somebody asked me to pray for his stomach. He had been having problems for years. I think it had been 9 years or so. I prayed for him and he has not had that problem since. The Holy Spirit can do things through you that you can not do yourself. Allow the Spirit of might to work through you.

The Spirit of knowledge is about having specific information. For example, knowledge could know how to fix your car when it is broken. Knowledge was revealed to the Right Brothers when they built their first airplane. Knowledge is the "how to" of the Holy Spirit.

Reverential and obedient fear of the Lord is acknowledging God in everything you do. Giving God credit for all of the good things and being responsible for all of the bad decisions that you made in your life. It places God first in every area of life. It respects God for who He is and what He has done for you.

Speak the Word: Father, I have the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and reverential obedient fear of the Lord inside of me. I will follow the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit.
