5 (Love) does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Love is not easily provoked. We have all lost our temper. I remember times that I have lost my temper. It was not pretty. It was ugly. Thankfully God loves us.
Ephesians 3:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
You will not be easily provoked, when you are firmly rooted and grounded in the love of God. You will be firm and confident that God loves you. You will realize that God loves the person that is provoking you.
When you get angry, STOP! Take a break. Get away. Count to 10. Find a way to cool off and gain your composure. Take a moment to pray. Stay aware of how much God loves you and how much God loves the other person.
Speak the Word:Father, you love me enough to die for me. I walk in love because I am rooted and grounded in your love for me.
