Romans 12:2 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
To Renew is "To restore to a former state, or to a good state, after decay or depravation" (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary). People that conform to the world are losing their good qualities (depravation). Instead you are renewing your mind by reading the Word of God and praying. As you "read and pray" you will "do" more of what the Word says you should do. You "prove" God's will by doing what the Word says you should do. Instead of living for your flesh you will live for the spirit.
Romans 8:37 New International Version (NIV)
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Speak the Word:Father I am more then a conqueror. I renew my mind with the Word of God and Prayer. I do what the Word says I should do.
