Matthew 28:18-19 Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go then…
You have POWER backing you up! Now since Jesus is the one that told us to go and Jesus has all power/authority, do you think that Jesus will back us up? Do what Jesus has told you to do and Jesus will be responsible to back you up. Let me show you what I mean.
Imagine a Police Officer in the street directing traffic. He stops one car while signaling another driver to go. Now the Police Officer did not use his power/authority to stop the car. He used the power/authority the City gave him, to stop the car. The City has delegated power/authority to that Police Officer to direct traffic. The City will back up that Police Officer. If you disobey that Police Officer you may find the whole Police Department chasing after you.
Now Jesus has done the same thing. Jesus has delegated power/authority to you. You have power/authority. So use it today. Use the power/authority that Jesus gave you and Jesus will back you up.
Speak the Word: Father I have the power and authority to do what you have told me to do.
