Joshua 1:7-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.

8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

Good success... Oh how sweet it is when it comes from God. God's way for success does not have any sorrow.

Proverbs 10:22 Amplified Bible (AMP)
22 The blessing of the Lord--it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].

In these verses from Joshua God gives us two keys to have good success:

• Be Strong and Courageous
• Meditate on the Word day and night

Notice the progression of 8:

1. Meditate on the Word.
2. So that you will do/obey what the Word says.
3. And you will have good success.

You have to be strong and courageous to obey God. You have to say "No" to what the world has to offer. You have to meditate on the Word of God day and night to obey God. You have to "know" what God wants you to do. When you obey God you will have good success. You will have riches without sorrow.

Speak the Word: Father, I am strong and courageous. I say no to the world. I meditate on the Word, The Word is in my mind and heart. I obey the Word of God. I have riches without sorrow.
