Prayer Request

Hi all,
I have a question, I know many of you here have known the Lord much longer than I have and probably have more knowledge than I do so here goes.
Can you explain spiritual warfare to me? what exactly does it mean? Biblical scriptures that support and how is it different from just praying?

First of all John 4:24 states that God is a Spirit and in Genesis 1:26,He created man in His own image.So man is a spirit,he has a soul and lives in a body.(1 thes.5:23 ).Understand that God who is a Spirit has a dwelling place which i will call the spirit world.This world is different from the world we live in.In 2 cor 12:2-4,the apostle Paul was caught up into this world of spirits.He indicated that there were altogether three heavens,one immediately above the other.The topmost is what he discribes as the third Heavens.I believe the first and second heaven are occupied by Satan an his demons and it is from this possition they control the affairs of this world of ours.Remember in Eph 6:12,we see the structure of these demonic forces.These are also spirits we can't see them with our naked eyes because our physical bodies puts limitation o us,the only vail that separates us from the spiritual world.It is only when God gives you a vision or a dream.When you dream,your senses become suspendered and whatever you see in you dream state is an encounter with the world of the spirits.Remember people in the Bible sometimes recieves messages from God through dreams.
I was talking about these demonic structures that are occupying the first and second heavens.In Eph 2:2,Satan is called the prince of the power of the air.Paul indicated that this is the spirit which controlls the children of disobedies.In Daniel 10,how the prince or principality of the kingdom of Persia witstood the angel God has sent to travel from the third heaven,he has to go through the second and the first heaven to be able to reach Daniel and that was why Daniel had to continue to engage this evil spiritual rular of Persia to recieve God's message for his people,and this is why we need to engage these forces from interfering in the affairs of this world.They are responsible for every misfortune that happens to us so put on the armour of God and get into prayer and fasting

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” (2 Corinthians 10:4)

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.” (Luke 21:34-35)

“And every man that striveth for the mastery is self-controlled in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.” (1 Corinthians 9:25)

“Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” (1 Thessalonians 5:6 )

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;” (1 Peter 1:13)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1 Peter 5:8)

It is constant prayer, being vigilant, not giving in to fear, standing strong in the Lord. Problems continue because we fail to see sometimes they are blessing in disguise. I guess it is a lifelong process. Not good with words. Hope this helps.
