Prayer Request

Ashlynn is now 9 months old. She was born almost 3 months premature. During the last 9 months she has fought for her life continuously. She finally got to come home after 3 months in the hospital, but was still oxygen dependent. A few months later she ended up back in the hospital with pneumonia. We found out she had been aspirating her food into her lungs. This caused a multitude of problems. 1)she wasn't getting enough oxygen to her brain, 2) she wasn't receiving adequate nutrition since it was going into her lungs causing low weight and a smaller underdeveloped brain. The doctors put in a feeding tube to bypass the problem. She got to come home again after 2 months in the hospital and was introduced to a number of different therapies to try and help her develop. We thought she was doing somewhat better until about a month ago she was diagnosed with infantile spasms which is a seizure disorder and is extremely rare with dire consequences as far as development is concerned. In the last few weeks Ashlynn has forgotten how to even suck. She has never liked to be held and cuddled and she doesn't focus or gaze at anything for more than a few seconds at a time. This week the doctors admitted Ashlynn back in the hospital for a trial run at a shot that might help her. So far we are having miraculous results. After 4 shots of a 42 shot series she has quit having the seizures and is regaining some of her skills that she has lost. She is gazing at people again and trying to suck her pacifier again. She is letting my sister hold her. I am asking for prayer to see continued progress. The doctors told us 2 weeks ago not to expect Ashlynn to have any quality of life, but our family believes in the power of prayer. We have had everybody praying that we know. I KNOW God listens and that he still performs miracles. Ashlynn will be a testament to God's power one day. Thank you!

O Lord of impossibilities, we beseech thee, to intervene in Ashlynn's health situation and perform a healing that know doctor or any other physician could perform. Show your power and might in Ashlynn's health, and change her water into wine. Command her body to be made over again as a potter reshapes and forms a flawed piece of clay, let it be so with Ashlynn. We thank you for who you are O Lord, and we trust and believe that you hear our prayers. In jesus' name we ask that you hear this one. *AMEN*

Father God, I do stand in agreement with Christina as we lift little Ashlynn up to you and ask for healing. You are the Great Physician and You know every hair on her head, every cell in her body, You created her and Father we ask that you will keep your hand upon her, strengthen her and her family as they watch what wonderful works You are going to do in each one of their lives. We thank You for Ashlynn's life and the joy that she has brought to others and the story that she will have about her life as You do Your wonderous work! In Jesus Name, Amen!
