Hi Linda, I read with great interest your request for prayer to save your marriage, and I can relate to it, but from a male persepective. I was seperated from my wife of 14 years for almost three years, as the love have sadly left our marriage, due to work commitments. We were on the path of divorce, which sat uncomfortably with me as a Christian. Over a period of maybe 6 months, I was down on my knees day after day asking the Lord to impart His love back into our marriage. Out of the blue, my estranged-wife phoned me and asked if I would like to spend the day with her whilst the children (10 + 5yrs) were at school. This happened a few times with increasing success and excitement. Finally, I told my wife about my many prays for reconcilliation. We have now been back together for almost 18 months, and its better than ever. Linda, we have a Wonderful, Gracious and Loving God, the same yesterday, today and forever. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that He will be the God of Restoration and new beginnings for you and your husband, as He has been for me. Oh how my soul could love and praise Him more. I ask for you to pray for my marriage. My husband of 8 years has definitely decided that he wants out of the marriage because he no longer loves me. We have two beautiful young children ages 8 and 5. He doesnt seem to care if he's going to hurt them when he separates from us. He gave me one year for us to still be together, but he no longer wants to do anything with me. I humbly implore God that He will restore the love, respect and affection that my husband Jim and I need. That God will make our marriage work.To help him remove any anger, bitterness inside of him.Help him not to be selfish, full of pride and ego.Remove all the evils around him. Help him realize that aside from God, the most important thing in his life is us his family. Enter his heart Lord that he may feel your love that you have showering us. Let him learn how to love again.Help us Lord to walk through this valley of darkness and remain victorious.
