John 3:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
Wars are exploding all over the world. Would you be willing to send one of your children to fight in a war? If you do not have any kids, imagine what it would be like if you did. Imagine sending your son or daughter to the other side of the world to fight. To fight for and protect people you have never met. To go to a place you have never seen. Would you willingly make the sacrifice? Would you tell your child "You must go. They need you!" Would you give up your child?
God gave His only begotten Son. God gave Jesus because God loves you.
Speak the Word: Thank you Father. Help me to understand how much you love me. Open my mind. Enlighten the eyes of my heart to your love for me.
