Romans 13:12-14 New International Version (NIV)
12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
Paul gives us the key to overcoming sin in this verse, "do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature". Instead of thinking about what you can do for yourself think about what you can do for God. The more you think about what you can do to please God the easier your life will get. The more you take care of God's business, the more you will find God taking care of your business. Give God room to work in your life. Get busy taking care of God's business.
Speak the Word:Father, what can I do for you today? Show me how you would like to me to live. What you would like me to say? What you would like me to do? Just let me know and I will get busy doing it.
