Romans 8:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Does the law of gravity ever change? If I let go of my pencil will it ever go up? No, it will always go down until it hits something. Have you noticed that the "laws" that God set never change? The law of gravity always works. It does not stop and it does not change. God set up laws in nature that never change and God set up spiritual laws that never change. The law of life in Christ and the law of sin and death are the primary spiritual laws that govern us.

Ephesians 2:1-10 New International Version (NIV)
1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

From the foundation of the world, God prepared good works for you to do. God has a destiny and a destination in mind for you. The first part of your destiny lies in your salvation. God freely forgave you of all of your sins so that you could reach your destination, so that you could complete your destiny.

As we look at the law of life in Christ vs. the law of sin and death you will find in it the key that will unlock your destiny and will enable you to complete your God given destination.

Speak the Word: Father, I have been freed from the law of sin and death by the law of life in Christ Jesus I am free!
