1 Corinthians 13:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.

Envy and jealousy stem from fear. Envy and jealousy are afraid that they will lose what they have or can't get what somebody else has. Think about it. If you know it's yours, or that you could have it, then jealousy/envy would not come up. A jealous husband/wife is afraid of losing their spouse. Somebody that is envious of a wealthy person is afraid they will never be wealthy. Envy and jealousy will stop your faith from working.

Galatians 5:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

6 ...faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

When love is absent, faith comes to a screeching halt. Think of love like oil. Love smoothes things out. Love makes the hard things easier to deal with. When you take oil out of an engine the engine has nothing to smooth out the friction. The engine will seize up and stop. Faith is like that engine, love smoothes out the rough spots so that faith can keep on doing it's work.

Have you been waiting a long time for something? Does it seem like it's never coming? Check your love walk. Are you walking in love with those around you. Have you cleared envy/jealousy out of your life. Do you have patience and kindness even towards the unlovely? This is something we all can work on (that includes me). Get in agreement with me today. Lets do everything we can to live a life of love with those around us. Before we know it we will receive what we have been waiting so long for.

Speak the Word:Father I am not envious or boil over with jealousy. I am kind, patient, and gentle.
