Leviticus 27:30 The Message (MSG)
30"A tenth of the land's produce, whether grain from the ground or fruit from the trees, is GOD's. It is holy to GOD.

The tithe, a tenth of all of your increase, is Holy to God. Previously we have talked about how "holy" means to be set apart or to be separated from. Since the Word of God tells us that the tithe is holy let us look at it from this perspective. Let's say that you have $100 in cash. Take $90 of the $100 and put it in one pile and place the remaining $10 in another pile. You have just separated the $10 from the $100. That $10 has become holy to God in the same way that you became holy to God when you accepted Jesus.

When you accepted Jesus, God separated you from the rest of the world. The world does not have a covenant with God, but you do. You have rights and benefits under this covenant that the rest of the World does not have.

Isaiah 54:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

You have a covenant of peace and completeness. The word "peace" in this verse comes from the Hebrew word "Shalom" and it means nothing missing, nothing broken. In other words, you have a blood bought legal right to completeness, to nothing missing, nothing broken in your life. Now that is something to shout about.

You have been separated from the rest of the World so that God could bless you. Your tithe (or tenth) is separated unto God so that you can bless God and bless others. It is always a blessing to God when you get involved in His work. You are also blessing those who are reached by the ministry that you give to. In addition, God will bless you because of your tithe.

Malachi 3:10-11 The Message (MSG)
10 Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.

11For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers." The Message of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies.

Speak the Word: Father I bring my entire tithe to you. Father I believe that you have opened the windows of heaven to pour out blessings after blessing on me.
