23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
God loves you as much as He loved Jesus. God was pleased with everything that Jesus did. Jesus never disappointed God. I don't know about you but I can't say that about myself. I am not perfect. I have not pleased God in all my ways. But, God loves me as much as He loves Jesus. Jesus said "You sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." Did you notice He said, "have" yet I was not even born when Jesus said this. God loves you just as much as he loves Jesus and God settled that long before you were even born.
Romans 8:30-31 New International Reader's Version (NIRV)
30 And those God has planned for, he has also appointed to be saved. Those he has appointed, he has made right with himself. To those he has made right with himself, he has given his glory.
31 What should we say then? Since God is on our side, who can be against us?
God is on your side. He is not angry with you. God is not crushing you or attacking you. The pressure, the attacks are coming from Satan. God loves you and tenderly cares for you.
Speak the Word: Father you love me. You are for me. Whoever is against me is against God. You tenderly care for me.
