Hebrews 2:11 Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)
11 Jesus, who makes people holy, and those who are made holy, all have one Father in heaven. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his brothers.
You are part of the family. You have the same Father as Jesus does. Some translations say "all have one Father" or "of the same family". Now this is a big deal. Don't let it slip by you. You are part of the family of God. Jesus is not ashamed to call you brother/sister.
Some families are ashamed of their brothers or sisters. They have done terrible things and have brought shame and disgrace to the family. But Jesus does not feel that way about you. Your sins have been forgiven. Your sins have been forgotten.
Psalm 103:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Do you realize how important this is? You have nothing to be ashamed of. If Jesus is not ashamed of you then you should not be ashamed of you. Go ahead. Sit up straight. Hold that chin up high. Jesus is not ashamed of you. Jesus would like to put His arm around you tell you how much He loves you.
Speak the Word: Father I am not ashamed of my sin. I am forgiven. I am loved.
