Prayer Request

My Husband wants a divorce
Tet
May 13 2008

I am asking god to move mountains for me and hear my request. my husband of 8 years has finally filed for divorce. I was so devasted when I received the papers in the mail. What a gift for mother's day!!! I told my husband that this is not what we talked about.I told him that I would not sign any papers, talk to lawyers or spend a penny on anything with regards to our marriage. I told him to tell our kids who are 8 and 5 years old of what is going on. Because I'm already fed up. I was so devasted when they heard the news, our daughter was crying and both were blaming themselves that it was their fault. We told them it's not.My husband admitted to them that it was his fault.I just ask the Lord to enter into my husband's heart so that he may feel God's love that we are experiencing. My husband is so firm with his decision that he's not thinking of the great impact it would cause our family--especially our children. He only thinks of himself rather the feelings of other people. He's doing this because he will get what he wants. But I told him that no divorce or separation is going to happen. That no man can separate us.It is only god who will judge us.That we will remain married until death do we part. Because God doesn't like separtation let alone divorce.I pray to God that he will be converted and realize what he's doing is wrong. To remove all the evils around him.To send the Holy Spirit upon him that he would really be sorry. To remove all the hatred, anger, bitterness, selfishness and pride inside of him. I just lift everything up to the Lord, for I know that God has plans for me, to prosper and not harm me, plans to give me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). I pray for God to give me strength and stand tall as I go through this trials. That I would walk throught this valley of darkness holding God's hands and will remain victorious.
Please pray for me and my kids. I'm taking this day one at a time.Choosing to be happy and believing that God is now working on my request.

Be strong and remember God is with you. You may think you "need" something, but God sees all and knows what is best for you and your children. There will be happiness for you in the future, God has something wonderful for you just around the corner. The best way to set your priorities is to think what the biggest loss would be to you then go from there. The answer should be your children. Be strong for them, I know it's hard but it is you that leads. I have spoken with young women that have lost husbands as young as 18 with young children. It's not easy regardless of loss being death or divorce. Don't stop praying, God has something in mind for you. l pray for you and your children that the clouds of despair clear and the light of our almighty god shines upon you. *Amen

Lord, please bring this family back together. Divorce is never a good thing...for anyone! Please let these two individuals remember the love they had for each other when they first married. Let them realize that you, God, are teh one that brought them together and blessed them with children. When they both realize this they will will re-unite in a love that was stronger than before. Please let them put their marriagein your hands and trust that you will show them the way. Please Lord, be with the children of this marriage and bless them while their parents work their way back to a loving family. In this we pray, Amen.
