Luke 2:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

God will reveal things to your spirit. God may show you your future. He may show you how to do something you need to do. God may show you a better way of doing things that will make you a lot of money. You just never can tell what God will show you. Ask God to show you what you need to know.

James 4:2 New Living Translation (NLT)

2 ... yet the reason you don't have what you want is that you don't ask God for it.

And Jesus said:

Luke 11:5-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 Then He said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves;

6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him';

7 and from inside he answers and says, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.'

8 "I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9 "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10 "For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

11 "Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?

12 "Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he?

13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

Now this man was bold to the point of being rude. It is almost rude for him to expect his friend to get out of bed and to get him bread. Did Jesus comment on this man's boldness? Yes he did, Jesus said he would be satisfied. Sometimes we do not have what we want or need because we gave up too soon. If God has spoken to your heart about then don't stop for anybody or anything. In love, pursue the things that God has spoken to you about. Ask and you will receive. Knock and you shall find. Pursue and you will be satisfied.

Speak the Word: Father, I wont stop, slow down or let up until I have what you said I could have. I will accomplish what you have called me to accomplish. I will do your will and work all the days of my life.
