1 Samuel 10:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

I need to change. I want to be all that God is asking of me and I can not do that without changing. Now, it is not that I have sin in my life. I want to be changed into a different person. I want to be more like Jesus.

So, how can I become a different person?

John 1:1 New International Version (NIV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word is God! When you put the Word of God into you mind and into your heart, you are planting God inside of you. Yes, you have God inside of you when you received the Holy Spirit. Yes, the Holy Spirit is changing you from the inside out. You will never achieve or do everything God has called you to do with out the Word of God. You must get into the Word of God so that you can do and have everything that God has said you should have and do.

Joshua 1:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.

This verse is talking about what "you" instead of talking about what God does. You see if you do not meditate and speak the Word of God then you will not do according to what is written and you will not prosper.

A lot of Christians ask "Why Lord...", "Why does my husband act this way?", "Why do I get treated unfairly?", "Why is it so easy for them?", "Why wont you fix my... ?" but they are not diligent about "doing" what is written in the word.

I lived a portion of my life in sin. During those years, life was miserable. It was really hard. Now that I have gotten my life focused on Jesus, those problems are gone. It is wonderful, God has taken care of those problems. In life most of those "Why Lord... ?" questions will be taken care of if we would just do what the Bible says we should do.

Speak the Word: Father, change me. Make me more like you.
