Psalm 139:14-16 New International Version (NIV)
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful,

I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you

when I was made in the secret place.

When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.

All the days ordained for me

were written in your book

before one of them came to be.

When I was a kid, I used to enjoy building model cars and airplanes. I would get those kits with a bunch of plastic parts, paint, decals, and glue. It would take me hours of carefully painting parts and gluing them in place. Eventually, when I was all done I would have a model car (or whatever I was building). I would do my best to make it just right. I wanted it to be perfect.

God is the same way. When God made you, He worked to make you perfect. God never intended you to be imperfect in any way at all. Now, the effects of sin deteriorate what once was good. Sin affects what once was perfect.

Genesis 3:17-19 Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 And to Adam He said, Because you have listened and given heed to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat of it, the ground is under a curse because of you; in sorrow and toil shall you eat [of the fruits] of it all the days of your life.

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field.

19 In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you shall return.

A curse came upon the earth when Adam sinned. Now notice God did not curse the earth. Adams sin caused the earth to be cursed, "the ground is under a curse because of you". God only told Adam what had happened when Adam sinned.

Because of that sin, sorrow entered the earth. In heaven, there is no sorrow and that is God's will for your life. It is not God's will for us to be under the curse. That is why God made a way out for us through Jesus Christ. Therefore, we can go from being under the curse to under the blessing.

Galatians 3:13-14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"--

14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Speak the Word: Father, I am not under the curse I am under the blessing.
