Ephesians 5:1 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
This version says be "imitators of God". Have you noticed that children imitate their parents? Are you a child of God? Do you call God "Father"? Follow God and imitate Him. Say what God says about your situation. Do not say what the world says. Do not talk about how you feel about it. Do not give us your opinion about it. Say what God says about it.
If you do not know what God say about your situation then find out. Get a concordance or Bible program for your computer or go to a Web Site (http://biblegateway.com) that has the Bible on it. Find out what the Bible says about your situation and talk about that.
Speak the Word: Father, I choose to say what you said. I am going to say only what the Word of God says about my situation. When I do things Gods way, I will get Gods results.
