1 Corinthians 13:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Love is the most important and sometimes the hardest of the three. Not long ago someone made a cutting remark to me and I said one right back to him. Sometimes walking in love is the one of the hardest things to do because you want to strike back. It is not easy to put yourself aside and walk in love.
What did I do? I apologized. Then I sat down and read 1 Cor 13:4-8. I changed the word love for… "I endure long, and I am patient and kind…." I began to say out-loud that "I always walk in love, I do not act badly, I do not display myself haughtily…." I put love to work because I know that "Love never fails". When you walk in love, you will never fail.
Speak the Word:Father, I walk in love. I endure long and I am patient and kind. I am never envious nor boil over with jealousy. I am not rude. I am not touchy, fretful, or resentful. I pay no attention to a suffered wrong. My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances. I endure everything without weakening. I never fail.
