Romans 8:16 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Shhhhhh. Did you hear that? Shhhhh listen carefully. Did you hear that? That was God speaking to you with a still small voice (1 Kings 19:11-14). Take a moment to be still. Take a moment to be silent and listen. In that moment of quietness you will hear the voice of God gently urging you to do what's right. The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, will always agree with the Word of God. Occasionally, we have decisions that the Word of God does not explicitly address. That is when you need to go inside and listen to what God is speaking to your spirit. Be quite, be still, and hear the gentle voice of God.
Speak the Word:Father, I am still and quiet. I am listening for your voice to guide me. [Take a moment to be silent.]
