Matthew 22:37 New International Version (NIV)
37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
Have you ever wondered why God does not answer more of our prayers? I have. At times, it seems that I have been praying and believing God for something for a long time. Then, God showed me what I was missing. I was not serving God with all of my heart. Now, do not misunderstand. I was going to Church, leading a home bible study, working on "Free Bible Email". I was doing the things that God has called me to do. I just was not doing them with my "ALL".
Deuteronomy 28:15-68 is about the curse of the Law. God wanted Israel to know why the curse would come on them. Verse 47 says:
"Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;"
I made up my mind I would serve God with joyfulness and with gladness because of all of the good things God has done for me. Take a moment and make up your mind that you will serve God with joyfulness and gladness of heart. You will be glad that you did.
Speak the Word:Father, thank you. You have given me an abundance of all the things I need. I serve you with joyfulness and gladness of heart.
