2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
As you spend time in prayer and in the Word of God the Holy Spirit will be working on the inside of you. Now the Holy Spirit is a spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind.
Power will make your life easier. Things that were difficult or hard for you will become easier, especially in the area of resisting sin. The Holy Spirit will strengthen you.
Loving others will become natural to you. Love will become an automatic response instead of one that is forced or difficult. Instead of seeking out what you want you will find yourself seeking out what is best for others. You will be looking after God's business instead of your business.
A sound mind is about having wisdom and understanding. God made Solomon the wisest man to ever walk the earth (1 Kings 3:12). As you read the Word of God (especially Proverbs) the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and understanding. You will increase in wisdom and understanding. You will have a sound mind.
Speak the Word: Father, as I study your Word and pray I am increasing in power, love, and wisdom.
