Psalm 91:7-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
I want you to think about that for a moment. Imagine standing in a field with thousands of other people. Suddenly a thousand people fall down dead at your side. Then ten thousand fall down dead at your other side. It would be humbling to stand in that field with all of those dead bodies. God has saved your life.
We have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you Jesus for saving my life. Thank you Jesus for forgiving my sins. Thank you Jesus for having mercy upon me. Because of Jesus we will not be punished with the wicked even though we should be.
Luke 16:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
I thank God that Jesus forgave my sins so that I do not have to join those in torment.
Speak the Word: Father thank you for saving me. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you Father for your great mercy.
