Psalm 91:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].
When God "sets you on high" He is putting you in a safe place out of harms way. Now in this day and age it is a good thing to be in a safe place out of harms way. I want to be in a place where my family will be in a safe place. Set your love, your focus, make it the purpose of your life to love God and God will protect you. When you became a Christian you became part of God's family. You not only know God's name, you have God's name. You entered into a relationship that God sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13-14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
13 ...you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.
The Holy Spirit is a guarantee to you from God of your covenant. In fact the Greek word for "pledge" is - arrhabon -which means "Engagement Ring". I read once about a Greek scholar who was visiting Greece and walked into a Jewelry store. Above some of the rings was a sign - arrhabon. The Holy Spirit is your Engagement Ring from God. The Holy Spirit is your guarantee that you are ready for heaven!
Speak the Word: Father, I love you with all of my heart, mind, and strength. You have set me on high and you have given me the Holy Spirit.
