John 10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Jesus came so that you could have life in abundance. But what did Jesus mean by "abundance"? Let's take a look at some other verses that use the same Greek word:

"perissos"

Romans 3:1 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
1 Then what advantage has the Jew?...

In this verse perissos was translated as "advantage". So we could say that Jesus came so that you could have an advantage. Knowing God is a tremendous advantage. You see with God nothing is impossible. Now that is a big advantage!

1 Thessalonians 3:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

In this verse perissos was translated as "exceedingly". We could say that Jesus came so that we could live exceedingly. Jesus came to give you a life that goes beyond our limits. An exceeding life is one filled with love, peace, and prosperity..

Ephesians 3:20 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

In this verse perissos was translated as "far more abundantly". Jesus came so that you could live a life beyond what you could think or imagine. God wants you to have an abundant life.

Speak the Word: Father, I accept the abundant life that you have for me. Jesus died for me on the cross that I might have life more abundantly and I receive everything that you have for me.
