23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
I can tell what you believe by what you say and do. If you believe that I am your friend then you will act like it. If you believe that I am your enemy you will act differently. Many people say that they are Christians, but you can tell by how they treat other Christians.
1 John 4:7-8 New International Version (NIV)
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Your love will reveal who you are. If you are a child of God then love will be the theme of your life. I will notice your love in how you treat me and other people. I will know you by your love. If you are mean and grouchy all the time then I will wonder if you are even saved. If you don't love other people then you don't know God. So let's really get to know God. Let your love shine everywhere you go.
Speak the Word:Father, I let my love shine. My love can be seen by all who know me.
