Mark 12:29-31 New International Version (NIV)
29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Ok, so you have decided to love God with all of your heart, all of your mind, and all of your strength. How do you do that?
Spend time in prayer and reading the word of God. When you love someone you will spend time with them. Spend time with God through prayer and from reading the Bible.
Matthew 25:37-40 New International Version (NIV)
37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
Another way that you can love God is by serving the Body of Christ. Whatever you do (good or bad) for a Christian you have done to God. God takes it personally. Think about it for a moment. Do you have the Holy Spirit inside of you? Yes! So what happens to you has happened to the Holy Spirit. Wherever you go God goes inside of you. This also applies to how you treat other Christians. They have the Holy Spirit in them. How you treat them is how you are treating God.
So make a firm decision to dedicate your life to serving the Body of Christ and you will live the best life you could ever imagine.
Speak the Word:Father I dedicate my life to the Word, prayer, and the body of Christ. I am fulfilling my destiny. I live a life I love.
