Jeremiah 18:1-4 New International Version (NIV)
1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD : 2 "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.
Be responsive to God. Let God have his way with you. Allow God to mold you and shape you, to make from you what He wills. God is the Potter and you are the clay. Let God have his way with you and God will make you a vessel of honor.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 King James Version (KJV)
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Did you see that? "if a man therefore purge himself", it is up to the man who becomes a vessel of honor. God has chosen all of us to be vessels of honor. We make the choice to purge or not to purge. God will make you a vessel of honor all you have to do is purge yourself. God would never ask you to do something that you can not do. God is just. It would be unjust of God to ask you to do something that you cannot do. God has asked you to live holy, so God will provide you with everything you need to live holy.
2 Peter 1:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
God has given us everything we need for life and for godliness. You know God did not leave anything out. The choice is yours. Give God all of your heart, mind, and strength. Let God make you into a vessel of honor.
Speak the Word: Father I yield to your will. I obey you even when I do not understand, because you are making me into a vessel of honor.
