1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 New Living Translation (NLT) 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever.
I've got a special nose. I can smell when Pizza is done. I'll take a frozen Pizza and put it in the oven. I usually don't set the timer because I can smell when it is ready to eat. Now I don't always get it exactly right, but it never burns. I know when it is almost ready and will check it in the oven. Hmmm just needs 2 or 3 more minuets and it will be ready.
Can you smell what is happening in the spiritual realm? Can you smell it? Jesus is coming soon. Just like my Pizza only needed a few minutes to finish cooking, the return of Jesus is just around the corner. It's almost time.
Revelation 19:6-9 New Living Translation (NLT) 6 Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a huge crowd, or the roar of mighty ocean waves, or the crash of loud thunder: "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice and honor him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. 8 She is permitted to wear the finest white linen." (Fine linen represents the good deeds done by the people of God.)
9 And the angel said, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb." And he added, "These are true words that come from God."
It will be a glorious time. Your best day on earth will be pale in comparison. Think about the best day of your life. Your worst day in heaven will far exceed your best day on earth.
Revelation 21:3-5 Amplified Bible (AMP) 3 Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.
4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.
5 And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).
And Jesus said -
Luke 21:27-28 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 27 "Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.
28 "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
Speak the Word: Father I look forward to the return of Jesus Christ - the one who removes burdens and the power to remove burdens.
