1 Chronicles 22:14 The Message (MSG)
14 Look at this--I've gone to a lot of trouble to stockpile materials for the sanctuary of GOD: 100,000 talents (3,775 tons) of gold, a million talents (37,750 tons) of silver, tons of bronze and iron--too much to weigh--and all this timber and stone. And you're free to add more.

King David provided 3,775 tons of Gold for the Temple of God. The price of Gold on Feb 20 2004 was $397.20 per ounce. King David gave $47,984,760,000.00 in Gold to help build the Temple of God. Imagine if your Church was taking offerings for a new Church building and someone gave the Pastor a check for 48 Billion dollars. That is not all that King David provided for the Temple of God. David gave 37,750 tons of silver. The price of Silver on Feb 20 2004 was $6.49 per ounce. That is $7,839,920,000.00 at today's prices. Can you imagine having enough money that you could give over 55.8 Billion dollars to help build a new Church? King David was very rich.

Acts 13:22 New Living Translation (NLT)
22 But God removed him from the kingship and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, `David son of Jesse is a man after my own heart, for he will do everything I want him to.'

God said that King David was a man after his own heart. You know it was "OK" with God that King David was very rich. It did not bother God. It would be "OK" with God if you were rich! God just wants you to keep your priorities straight.

Matthew 22:37-40 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'

38 "This is the great and foremost commandment.

39 "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'

40 "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

God wants you to keep your priorities straight:

  1. Love and serve God with everything you have including your money.
  2. Love and serve your neighbor.

Devote your life to keeping those two commandments and God wont care if you are rich.

Speak the Word: Father I love you with all of my heart, mind, and strength. Father I serve you with everything I have including my money.
