Matthew 7:24-25 New International Version (NIV)
24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.
What would Jesus be like in the middle of a storm? Would Jesus be running around panicking or would Jesus be calm and collected? In the New Testament we find Jesus in a boat sound asleep during a severe storm. This storm was so severe that professional fishermen thought they were going to die. Jesus was not shaken. He was not frightened. Jesus trusted God. You have the Holy Spirit inside of you. You do not have to be shaken or disturbed. Just do as Jesus instructed. Hear and do what Jesus tells you to do. Take a look at verse 24 again. If you practice what Jesus said you will be founded upon a rock. Jesus said that the storms may rage, the winds may blow, the floods may beat against your house, but your house will not fall. Speak the Word:Father, I hear your word and I do your word. I know the rain may descend, the floods may come, the winds may blow but my house will not fall. My house is founded on the solid rock of Jesus Christ.
