Nehemiah 8:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 ...the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Joy has strength! There is great power in the word joy. A man I work with lost both of his daughters. One was 19 and the other was 15. Both of his daughters were Christians. They knew God and were saved. Most fathers would be overwhelmed with grief and sorrow. He did have a time of grief but before the week had passed he was laughing and cutting up. He was having a good time. How could that be possible?
He knows his girls are in heaven. He has a great relationship with God. He knows his girls are in good hands. They are in God's hands. Now notice it is not your joy. It is God's joy that gives you great strength. God loves you. When God thinks about you, He is full of joy. Think about the joy that God has and let God's joy be your strength.
Speak the word:Father, I will rejoice with you. I will rejoice that Jesus has conquered death. I will rejoice that death has lost its sting. Death has no power over me. Father, your joy is my strength.
