James 1:2-4 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Hebrews 6:12 New International Version (NIV)
12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
What does he mean by "lazy"? In order to receive the promises now, in this life you can not be spiritually lazy. To receive the promises now you need to imitate Christians who have received the promises. Imitate Christians who have God working in their lives. Find Christians who walk in love, health, and wealth and imitate them. Do they read the Bible everyday? Then so should you. Do they spend time in prayer? Do the same. Are they at Church every time the doors are open? Follow their example as thy follow Christ.

1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
Now please do understand, you can not put your faith in men. You need to keep your faith in God. Men are not perfect. God is. God will not let you down, but imperfect men will. Keep your faith in God and imitate those who have a closer walk with God than you. Learn from those who have successfully traveled the path that you are on. Don't be lazy. Receive the promises of God today, in this life. You do not have to wait for the sweet by and by to walk in health, wealth, and wisdom. You can have it today.
Speak the Word:Father, I am not lazy. I spend time in the word, in prayer, and at Church. I am imitating those who have gone before me. I am walking in health, wealth, and wisdom.
