2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

You have a spirit of love in you. What happens when fear comes face to face with love? Does love cringe and hide from fear? Does love stop what it is doing? Does love give up, and give in to fear? NO, love does not do those things.

1 John 4:18 Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection].

When you turn a light on what happens to darkness? The darkness is gone. Light casts out darkness. When love is present what happens to fear? Fear is gone, because love casts out darkness. Just as light and dark can not occupy the same space, love and fear cannot occupy the same space. Love casts out fear.

Ephesians 3:17-19 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

God wants you to know how much He loves you. God wants you to have intimate, personal, experience with His love. So how do you go from just having head knowledge of the love of God to actually experiencing the love of God?

John 14:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Your love is perfected when you keep Gods commandments. You see the greatest commandment is love God with all of your heart, mind, and strength. The second is love your neighbor as you love your self. All of the other commandments come from these two commandments. All of the other commandments are details on how to love God and how to love your neighbor. When you devote yourself to keeping the commandments of love you are perfecting your love. As you perfect love you will have no fear.

Speak the Word: Father, perfect your love in me. I am obeying the commandments of love. I am perfecting love in my life and I have no fear.
