James 5:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.
Money makes a lousy God. You do not have to be rich to make money your God. You can be poor and make money your God. Tell me do you think money will solve your problems? When money is your God you will never be satisfied. What you have will never be good enough. It is about the next outfit, the next car, the next house or the next computer. It is never enough. In the end the lust for things consumes everything but gives nothing in return.
God on the other hand will always give us more then we could ever give Him. God gave us Jesus and forgave our sins. God sent the Holy Spirit to us, He heals our bodies, and He prospers us financially. God will always out give us.
Luke 6:38 New International Version (NIV)
38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
You can see the law of giving in this verse. Give and it will be given to you. That is how you prosper financially in the Kingdom of God. When you give as God has told you to give, then God will prosper you.
Speak the Word:Father, I serve you. I give when you tell me to give. I receive it back good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.
