Psalm 23:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
God is restoring your soul. You soul is your thought life. If I gave you a crossword puzzle to work on, your soul would solve it. When God restores your soul, God is dealing with your thoughts. God wants you to think like He does. God wants you to be at peace, without fear, courageous, bold, and victorious. Restoring the soul is learning to think like God thinks.
Isaiah 55:8-11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
10 "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
God's way is a far better than the world's way. Gods way always works. God wrote down his thoughts in the Bible so that we could learn to think like He does. When you think God's thoughts, then your words will go accomplish what you have said. When you think God's thoughts, you will get God's results. You will walk in love all the time. You will not fear, because you will know how much God loves you. You will know that God is backing you up. Immerse your self in the word of God. Before you know it your soul will be restored. You will be living the best years of your life.
Speak the Word: Father, you are restoring my soul. I am learning to think like you think. I speak your words and they accomplish what they were sent to do.
