Trio from Vacherie killed in wreck They turned into path of SUV, police say Tuesday, May 27, Three Vacherie residents were killed early Monday when their car was hit by a sport utility vehicle after failing to yield during a turn on Louisiana 3127 on the west bank of St. John the Baptist Parish, State Police said. The driver of the SUV also was injured in the crash, state Trooper Joseph Piglia said in a news release. Travell Gordon, 28, was making a left turn from the southbound lane of Louisiana 3127 onto Louisiana 640 when his Chevrolet Monte Carlo was hit by a Ford Explorer traveling north on the road, Piglia said. Gordon turned into the path of the Explorer, driven by Clinton Sutherland, 35, of Vacherie, Piglia said. Gordon and his passengers, Lawrence Priestley, 35, and Seaneea Narcisse, 27, were dead on the scene, police said. Clinton Sutherland was taken to Thibodaux Regional Hospital with moderate injuries, Piglia said. Please pray with me for these families in the name of Jesus
