I am asking god to move mountains for me and hear my request. my husband of 8 years has finally filed for divorce. I was so devasted when I received the papers in the mail. What a gift for mother's day!!! I told my husband that this is not what we talked about.I told him that I would not sign any papers, talk to lawyers or spend a penny on anything with regards to our marriage. I told him to tell our kids who are 8 and 5 years old of what is going on. Because I'm already fed up. I was so devasted when they heard the news, our daughter was crying and both were blaming themselves that it was their fault.We told them it's not.My husband admitted to them that it was his fault.I just ask the Lord to enter into my husband's heart so that he may feel God's love that we are experiencing. My husband is so firm with his decision that he's not thinking of the great impact it would cause our family--especially our children. He only thinks of himself rather the feelings of other people.He's doing this because he will get what he wants. But I told him that no divorce or separation is going to happen.That no man can separate us.It is only god who will judge us.That we will remain married until death do we part. Because God doesn't like separtation let alone divorce.I pray to God that he will be converted and realize what he's doing is wrong. To remove all the evils around him.To send the Holy Spirit upon him that he would really be sorry.To remove all the hatred, anger, bitterness, selfishness and pride inside of him. I just lift everything up to the Lord, for I know that God has plans for me, to prosper and not harm me, plans to give me hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). I pray for God to give me strength and stand tall as I go through this trials.That I would walk throught this valley of darkness holding God's hands and will remain victorious.
Please pray for me and my kids. I'm taking this day one at a time.Choosing to be happy and believing that God is now working on my request.

TET, you sound just like me. I try to remain faithful and hopeful but then something will happen that discourages me. But, you can't let that happen. When that happens I ask the Lord for forgivness that I am not trusting him and his plan. Always remember, no matter how your situation plays out, the Lord is with you every step of the way! Ask him to take away your fear and heartache and He will. I am doing the same things you are. I come back to this site many times during the day and re-read alot of the prayers that have been posted. Especially yours. Yours are very inspirational. Be confident that the Lord is working in your husbands heart right now. I was hurting bad yesterday because my original court date for a temporary hearing was scheduled for today, 6/5. Like you, I have been working and praying hard for the Lord to save our marriage. Then yesterday, my wife decided she wanted to delay all of this. Now, it is another 30 days before anything will happen. Granted, she didn't end the divorce process but she is having second thoughts about it. There is only one reason for that....THE LORD IS WORKING IN HER HEART! I feel ashamed that I lose hope. The Lord is doing the work. I pray to him many times each day that no matter what happens, please help me to do the right thing for my wife and family. While I am praying, I also pray for you and everyone else on this site that is struggling in the same situation. The prayers work, just be patient. Lord, I pray that you continue to strengthen TET and comfort her. Take the burden of fear and desperation away from her. Let her know you are working on her husbands heart like you did with me. In your name we pray. Amen.

TET, I hope things are going well for you. We haven't heard from you in a while. I pray that you still are letting the Lord work in your heart and the heart of your husband. As I pray multiple times each day for the restoration of my marriage, I include you and all of the others on this site who are struggling with the same marital issues that we are. I often go back and read some of the prayers you placed on this site for everyone as they bring me strength. I pray that you and your husband are headed in the right direction. The Lord is with you and will not let you down. Take heart in the fact that whatever you go through, He is there with you to take your pain and sorrow. I will continue to pray for you and ask that you do the same for me. It is also my prayer that soon, all of us that will be posting prayers of thanksgiving and testimonials to the power and grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you Dave for your continued prayers. I too am praying for you. We can only do as much as a human being. And I just lift everything up to the Lord. Trying to be strong and never give up. Because I have embraced the Lord in my life as I am going through this. And I strongly believe that God will hear our prayers and our cries. IT's really difficult but God will not give us any problems that we can't take. I have faith in God that He's working on our marriage right now, both yours and mine. TET, I am still praying for you. I am going through the same thing you are and I know that everyone who is praying for me gives me strength. I know the Lord hears our cries but we have to be patient. That is the hard part. We pray in our time, the answers come in God's time. Lord, this marriage is in your hands.
