Prayer Request

Message Date
Unsettled Mind and Emotions
Dee
Nov 15 2004

I need to clearly hear an answer from God. My mind is unsettled and my emotions are running wild. My husband of 16 plus years is unsaved and I have been praying for his salvation and deliverance from the streets. I love him and I try to encourage him to turn his life around but so far I feel that my efforts have been in vain. He recently went out in my car and twice in one week my car was stolen, the first time it was recovered immediately and now the second time it has not yet been found. I am tired of trying to be married by myself. I need to know if God is trying to tell me something (am I to leave this man). I know that God did not write the decree of divorce but because of man He allow Moses to write it. I also know that the word says that the wife will santify the husband and the husband will santify the wife. But what I am not clear about is when to let go or if I should let go, I still love him but can't deal with the street games in him. Please pray for me.

Dear Lord, we pray for this sister and ask that you will give her strength in dealing with her spouse. Dear Lord, open the spouses heart to you and make him receptive to your salvation. In Jesus Name We Pray Amen.

Dee, God is the author of all that is good. The fact that you married an unbeliever is irrelevant. You have made a mistake and now you have to face now. You have been married a long time, and I assume you have shared your faith and committment to God with your husband. Does he witness the life of Christ in you ? If you seek God first in the Secret Place (alone with the Father), you will know what you must do. I can't tell you which way to turn, and if I did, I'd be guilty before God. I can tell you how to get His answer. Invest TIME in His presence and hear Him alone. Invest as much time as required until you hear. My sister, I live what I am saying. Pay the price. We serve an awesome God, and He will speak to your heart. You'll only hear if you decide to hear.
Invest just this little more in your marriage. God will show you where to go from there.
Magnificent Father, You said it. As Dee invests herself in seeking You alone, we thank you that You meet with her privately and show her which way to go. We thank you in Jesus' name.
