I had just recently found out that I was pregnant with my first child with my husband of 3 years. We were so excited yet nervous at first. Afterall, I am a student and will not be complete with until March 31, 2007. The due date was March 16. I also lacked insurance, and also didn't know how I was gonna be on my crucial clinical rotations. Finally, everything was falling into place. I had finally relaxed about everything and was getting super excited cause things were working out. We were even looking to buy a home. But, it seems as if just when nothing could get better, I went into my Dr's office for my first US. My husband was there with me and we both knew something was not right, there was no heartbeat. We were absolutely devastated! I hand to undergo a D&C. Now, I am just so filled with sorrow, and want some reassurance that this too shall pass.
Sweet girl, know that your baby is safe in the arms of Jesus. It has been a month-plus since your post and I hope that you are doing better. It will take time, but with prayer and positive thinking you will be sustained. I have suffered through two miscarriages, but have also birthed four beautiful children. God never gives you more than you can handle--and HE WILL help you through this difficult time. He will continue to bless you, and in time you will somehow see "why" He needed your little angel "home" with Him right away.
Precious Lord, please bless this young mother with peace and understanding that only comes from you. Give her comfort to carry on her days, faith in you unfailing love, and blessed assurance of your tender mercies. I ask this for all mothers who have experienced the painful loss of their unborn children--In Jesus Name, Amen.
